Who is Kimoro?
Pastor Kimoro is a graduate of Hope of the Nations Bible College.
Everything he and his family of eight do brings glory to God.
When Kimoro arrived at Bible College, he was a young man with one dream—to plant a church. He never imagined how God would use him to plant several churches in a spiritually dark village far from his home.
From the first day of college, Kimoro stood out as a leader. He eagerly studied God’s Word, organized Bible studies after class, and even excelled in his English classes. Along with biblical training, he learned practical skills like soap making—something God would later use in an unexpected way.
After graduation, Kimoro faithfully taught God’s grace. Not everyone welcomed the message. In fact, he was asked to leave several churches because of what he believed and taught.
Instead of becoming discouraged, he started neighborhood Bible studies.
Those Bible studies grew. Churches were planted.
Today, Kimoro continues to disciple believers using the biblical foundation he received at Hope of the Nations Bible College. His soap-making business, Hope Soap, has also become an outreach to young men who are hesitant to enter a church building. What begins as learning a trade often becomes an opportunity to hear about Jesus.
This year, two members of Kimoro’s church also graduated from Hope of the Nations’ tailoring school and received sewing machines to help provide for their families while serving their community.
But if you ask Kimoro where his heart is…he won’t point to the churches. He’ll point to the children. Some of the children he loves most are those living with albinism.
Because of fear and superstition, many children with albinism in Tanzania live in protected orphanages for their own safety. Some are blind. Many have spent their lives feeling unwanted and untouchable.
Kimoro sees them differently. He sees children created in the image of God. Week after week, he visits them, leading Bible studies, playing games, sharing meals, and reminding every child that Jesus loves them.
Hope of the Nations has been privileged to partner in this ministry by providing large water tanks for clean water, gardening supplies so the children can grow their own vegetables, and even a cow to provide fresh milk.
Kimoro’s ministry doesn’t stop there. Another burden God has placed on his heart is reaching children and families living at the city dump.
Entire families survive by searching through garbage for anything they can sell. Many of the children had never owned a Bible or heard the Gospel.
Kimoro faithfully visited them, building friendships and sharing the hope of Jesus.
Each year, one of Hope of the Nations’ visiting mission teams partners with Kimoro to host a Summer Camp.
Children from Kimoro’s churches, children living at the orphanage for those with albinism, and teenagers from the city dump all come together for one unforgettable week.

Children who had spent their lives separated by fear, poverty, and rejection suddenly found themselves on the same teams.
They ran relay races.
They laughed together.
They worshiped together.
They opened God’s Word together.
One afternoon, each team received a piece of cloth and a handful of markers to design its own team flag.
Many of these children had never held markers before.
The creativity that poured onto those pieces of cloth amazed every member of the visiting team.
There were tears—not because beautiful flags were being made—but because we were watching God transform hearts.
Children the world had separated…were becoming one family in Christ.
Later that week, two of the older boys from the city dump received their very first Bibles.
They carefully turned each page, reading slowly and asking question after question about Jesus and His love for them. (pic of boys reading)
By the end of camp, they were among the first to step forward for baptism.
For one week, no one was defined by albinism, poverty, or where they lived.
They were simply children…laughing together…discovering the love of Jesus.
TODAY
Pastor Kimoro continues to plant churches, disciple believers, and invest in children that many people overlook. Through one graduate of Hope of the Nations Bible College, countless lives have been touched with the hope of Jesus Christ.
His story reminds us that when one student is equipped with God’s Word, the impact reaches far beyond one classroom. It reaches villages, families, churches, and children for generations to come.
