Dan and Allison together with their daughters Jaymie and Sophia first came from their home in Vancouver, Canada to Hope of the Nations at the start of 2022. They hoped to discern if the Lord was calling them to full-time missions work. Since then, the Lord has affirmed his calling for them to serve with Hope of the Nations on an ongoing basis.

Dan brings a background and education in audio engineering and music production and has accepted the role of Media Director. This role sees him working in many different media capacities including, video creation, photography, online media, podcasts and more. He will be running the Media Center upon its completion. His role also includes team coordination – helping guests and teams plan and run short term trips.

Allison is a certified teacher specializing in primary education. Her previous education and work experience have allowed her to have an impact in the Hope of the Nations Primary school, as she has been working to educate both the teachers, and students in how to study and understand God’s word. Monthly, Allison will run seminars for the teaching staff at the Primary School on various education practices to further their training and education.

Jaymie and Sophia have been enjoying life in Africa. They have been learning Swahili in a hurry and they have both been doing well making new friends and learning about their new home and culture. They enjoy finding new creatures, swimming in the lake, and exploring new places. The will be doing a combination of homeschool as well as attending the Primary School once we return.
